Klosterruine Arnoldstein

Follow-up report on cultural summer 2024

Dear community citizens,,

After an eventful summer, I would like to give you an overview of the events from my culture and education presentations.

First of all, I would like to thank our fraternities, the the 13 We organized and carried out church days in our community in an exemplary manner. It's always nice to be able to experience it again and again, How much commitment and pride the young people live and carry on this tradition.

There was also a varied program in the Arnoldstein cultural summer IMPETUS. The artist Dagmar Helbig opened the cultural dance, whose pictures gave the nave of the monastery ruins a special touch. With “Sang and Sound from Arnoldstein”, our small local groups surrounded the monastery ruins with a cloud of singing sound. Of course, the twilight drinks from our local music bands couldn't be missed. The EMV Trachtenkapelle Arnoldstein opened the Arnoldsteiner Kirchtag at the Cafe Central with lively pieces of music and the playing group of the mining and smelting traditional music and the Gailtaler Trachtenmusik Wertschach brought musical momentum to the guest garden at the Pirtscher inn. The program continued with a classical concert, in which a young violinist amazed the audience. Our local artist August Dorn enchanted the other visitors to our cultural summer with his great pictures from mid-July. What would a summer be without Lukas Gabric and the CIJA saxophone competition? Top saxophonists were also there this year, who demonstrated their skills. The “Udo Tribute Band” filled the nave to the last seat and brought a lively atmosphere to the audience. There was an incredible amount of laughter at the cabaret evening with Stefan Haider, who left no eye dry with his “Supplier Hour” program. The male group “4me” and the “Quartett Oisternix” concluded the Arnoldstein cultural summer and thrilled the audience with their great singing performances. I'm already looking forward to the next cultural summer and I can promise you, that a varied program awaits you next year too. At this point I would like to thank the Ruin Association, especially with Prof. Bernhard Wolfsgruber, for supporting the preparatory work and serving drinks at the events.

In the area of education, let me tell you, that the wind class at the Arnoldstein Music School will be continued this year in cooperation with the Arnoldstein Elementary School and I would like to thank our two music clubs for their support.

Mr Harald Hicks has been working for the St. Leonhard, the children's group Liliput and the BÜM Arnoldstein prepared lunch. Unfortunately, he can no longer offer this since this school year. I would like to take this opportunity to thank him and his team very much for their years of work.

I wish you a nice autumn season and I'm looking forward to it, We would like to welcome you to the upcoming Advent events.
