EUREGIO prize for the association for the revitalization of the Arnoldstein monastery ruins

Am 25.11.2022 was the tenth anniversary of the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EVTZ) /Euregio without borders celebrated in the hall of mirrors of the Carinthian state government. The state of Carinthia is involved in the EGTC, the Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto region.

The members of the Carinthian state government were present with LH Peter Kaiser, the representatives of the Italian regions, EU-Kommissar J. Hahn and others
personalities from politics, economy and public life. In their speeches, they emphasized the importance of this regional cooperation for prosperous development within the European Union.
As part of this evocative celebration, nine institutions from the province of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto and the province of Carinthia were awarded the sustainability prize for the projects they submitted. The price has the goal, Development initiatives, Conservation and restoration of cultural heritage, social coexistence, of economy and ecology with the active participation of the population, of institutions and organizations, to promote and publicize. Die 17 The sustainability goals of the UN were the specifications for the projects, to be eligible for the award.

In addition to two other Carinthian institutions, the association for the revitalization of the Klosterruine Arnoldstein the high award with the Euregio Sustainability Award.

The award is a great honor for the association and the people working in it. It represents a nice recognition of what has been achieved so far and at the same time gives new impetus, to continue on the previous path, to preserve what has been achieved and to expand it further with new initiatives. All this in the endeavor, a historic building
preserved and to maintain a cultural center of the market town of Arnoldstein.
